Community Projects | $25,000

$4,000 | Animal-proof trash cans in McAllister Park
Proposal calls for the installation of five (5) trash cans in McAllister Park that would prevent access to area animals. Deer in particular have emptied bins in recent years.

$4,000 | Community garden located behind Encino Library
Proposal calls for setting aside funds to explore the possibility of developing land behind Encino Library to serve as a community garden. Cost estimate provided through a District 9 staff evaluation of similar projects in the area.

$7,000 | Reagan-area middle school orchestra support: harps
Proposal calls for the purchase of three (3) harps to help establish a permanent harp program in the area middle schools that feed into Reagan High School. Cost estimate provided by Reagan High School's Orchestra Program. ​
